When a meticulous drag club owner falls for a man she assumes is gay, she begins to question the comfort zone she's locked herself into.
SYNOPSIS:
Comfort Zones are like plush lined coffins, if you stay in them too long you’ll die.
Cyd built herself into her comfort zone and buried the hammer (according to her therapist). Living upstairs above the drag bar she owns, she hasn’t felt the need to leave the building in years. Everything she needs is here.
Jimmy is a kinder-teacher during the week. Every weekend he sits in a hospital room, next to his wife, and reads to her. A car accident six years ago left her in a vegetative state.
When his insurance gets cut and medical bills start to rise, Jimmy is forced to find a second job.
Both Cyd and Jimmy are in their safe space, neither realizing that their norm isn’t normal.
When Jimmy is hired at the club as a bartender, he sees Cyd as a fun person to hang out with. Cyd assumes Jimmy is gay because he is so comfortable working in a drag club. So what’s the harm in hanging out? She surrounds herself with sexy gay men daily.
Neither expected to fall in love or deal with the emotional upheaval love brings with it.
Accidentally in Love is a colorful rom-com looking to bust out of its comfort zone.
