SYNOPSIS:

In the year 2286 A.D., Earth is attacked by a mysterious comet-spaceship helmed by the advanced warlike race of beings known as the Cometites. Though unprovoked, the Celestial Comet Empire has been systematically annihilating whole planets due to the nightmarish visions of impending doom that its leader—Emperor Zwordaar Mordaxxis—has been subjected to for 10,000 years. Following sustained comet attacks on our planet, the powers that be band together to create a space armada that can repel or even defeat the oncoming interstellar harbinger of doom. The only ship that makes it into space is The Argo—a WWII cruiser retrofitted for space travel—and it is up to them to save the Earth and all of her inhabitants…
