When a corrupt politician is assassinated in crisis-stricken Athens, a tenacious cop struggles to hold on to his values, as he navigates political intrigue and personal dilemmas.
Tagline: How do you uphold justice, when it is nowhere to be found?
SYNOPSIS:
ANIMUS is Nordic Noir in full Mediterranean color. We’re in Athens, home to the Parthenon, amazing street art, trendy bars and general chaos. It’s 2016. “Crisis” has become the new normal. Corruption remains rampant.
An audacious robbery and an assassination both appear to be connected to a resurgence of a long-dormant, domestic terror group. It is up to Panos and his partner Sophia to find the truth.
The theme is how individuals and society react to crisis, poverty, and a dysfunctional government in this 10X60 serial aimed at the streamers.

I would love to read it given that I am half Greek and know well that landscape.
Alexia, thanks very much for the rating and your interest.

Maybe leave out the mention of the location so as to reduce the length of the logline. The "struggles to hold on to his values" bit and "faces personal dilemmas" bit sound too similar. I'd remove one so as not to sound repetitive. That's just me, though -- here's my offering of a revised version:
"A tenacious cop navigates a labyrinth of political intrigue and personal dilemmas while investigating the assassination of a corrupt politician."

Love your title Christiane. So fits the logline!
Focussing on the logline:
I think you DO NEED a location Adam, but I like your version.
Maybe, trying to get some sort of Inciting Incident:
If you swap "tenacious" for "troubled" you can cut "personal dilemmas". I like that he is "tenacious" Cristiane. But should a cop/detective always be "tenacious" while trying to catch the bad guy?!
"While investigating the assassination of a corrupt politician, a troubled (LAPD) detective* navigates a labyrinth of political intrigue in crisis-stricken Athens while investigating the assassination of a corrupt politician."
Although I am starting to hate loglines that begin with While/After. Now, at least, you don't bury the lead.
* (a cob 'finds out" ; a detective, except higher in rank so (normally) more capable, "detects"=discovers", so much more tickles the imagination.)

Rutger Oosterhoff He is tenacious in many ways, not just when it comes to catching bad guys. Should a cop always be tenacious about catching the bad guys? That is exactly what he has to answer for himself.

I like it! Sounds reminiscent of Sidney Lumet crime/thrillers.
