A homage to 70s action/thrillers, a cross between Lethal Weapon and Billy Jack. Hired by a gubernatorial candidate to locate his kidnapped daughter, a private detective is stunned to discover the man had the child abducted to gain popularity in the polls. What makes this former P.I. different from any other is that he is a Native American who comes from a long line of trackers and leaders.
SYNOPSIS:
When their adorable young daughter, STACY, is kidnapped from their swank Texas home, gubernatorial hopeful, WILIAM CODY and his wife RACHEL are prepared to go to any means to get back her back unharmed. The local sheriff, HOLIDAY and his deputy, CORBET launch an ambush at an airport where the drop is to take place. But, the plan goes awry prompting the FBI to become involved.
Cody insists to his panicked wife that he will set things right, and seeks out a former detective he had a run in with. Cody ruined the man’s life long ago, but feels that enough money can mend their differences. What he is not aware of is that the former adversary became a recluse, living in a mountain cave on the reservation.
After his run in with Cody, JOE ALAMO lost everything; his career, wife, daughter and recently split up with his girlfriend. The man is bitter and angry. He doesn’t fool himself, he knows it’s partly his fault. He cannot help seek justice, truth while feeling the American way has gone astray. The only reason he takes the offer from the candidate is because he feels empathy for the kidnapped girl.
The culprits are a motley crew led by HANK LOMAX, a half Native American with a violent past. He’s aligned himself with two ex-cons, MICHAEL MARS, baby-faced munitions expert and AUGGIE ROLLINS, a large intimidating beast of a man and suspected child molester. Lomax’s partner, SHELLY, a knife wielding, tatted sultry red-head is also along for the ride.
Joe finds himself juggling his new assignment with reconciling with his girlfriend, catching up on child support, spending precious time with his daughter, and consoling his ailing father. His search for the child takes him from a handcuffed fight to the death in a cavern to an explosive western style gunfight in a farming community, and finally to the realization that the criminals cannot hold a candle to the corruption in politics.
