HATTIN

HATTIN
By Grant Wiggins

GENRE: Comedy
LOGLINE: When an aging gay Manhattanite lets a prudish young writer from the south move in, old york meets new as he schools her on love, life and loathing in the big apple.

SYNOPSIS:

I’ve called it Golden Girls meets Will and Grace. It’s a sitcom that sets up a potentiality to be a cheap network staple, it’s the most sellable thing I believe I’ve written. Give it a sound stage, let New York City be your backdrop and you’ve got a modern Seinfeld in terms of the endless scenarios you can keep throwing at the characters without breaking the bank. I’m not saying it’ll change the world but it could be a quick and easy comfort show.

This is SUCH a fun concept, Grant! I'd love to know more of why this young writer from the South is moving in with this older Manhattanite in the first place. Does he see her destitute and aimless and take pity on her? Is she the daughter of a family friend? Is she the niece of someone that he's got a thing for?
