A young anthropologist uncovers evidence of an otherworldly being residing in a state of hibernation deep beneath the surface of the ocean.

SYNOPSIS:

A blossoming young anthropologist, Frances Whalen Thurston, inherits notes regarding a strange cult of believers in an otherworldly being known as Cthulhu from his deceased great-Uncle. He soon finds himself venturing to seek out the cult to learn more about this horrifying object of worship. As he continues his investigation, he is plagued by nightmares and eventually discovers that Cthulhu has been awakened and is responsible for driving a ship full of sailors to madness and death.
