A reclusive artist finds himself protecting his statue of John Wayne from thieves when it comes to life with a mission to prevent global extinction.
SYNOPSIS:
QUICK PITCH
Nutshell logline: A reverse Raiders of the Lost Ark.
I would designate The Termite PG-13. No profanity or sex scenes, but it has everything else that would make a teen and young adult audience see it more than once. It could be comparable to the Indiana Jones franchise, only in reverse, with many twists and turns: Our hero must return an egg-shaped gem to its place of origin, somewhere in the Ecuadoran jungle while being chased by a dastardly megalomaniac who wants the stone for its God-like powers.
It has adventure, memorable characters, humor, and suspense throughout: A last chance to save the world from extinction against all odds. A strong, independent woman co-lead. An insecure lead man who needs to come out of his shell. A lovable monster composed of an ant colony. A treasure. A heartless trillionaire tycoon who wants to be Lord of the Earth.
And with its witty dialogue, it’s got what it takes to keep you in your seat with a bag of popcorn on a sunny afternoon.
