As a serial killer hunts a midwestern town, a retiree must survive a home invasion on Halloween night by three masked intruders looking for revenge for the murder of a friend.
Hi Brad, This script asks the question, how far would one go to prove a belief, more specifically, a conviction? Would you commit violence out of revenge, or your own sense of justice? The four antagonists in the story are operating from a place of retribution, caused by emotional trauma, not from greed. They aren't executing a heist, rather seeking to right a wrong they're convinced happened.
Also, most horror/suspense genre films have a big twist or big reveal in them, usually towards the end. Home has several, keeping the reader guessing and off balance, not knowing for sure what the outcome might be until the very end of the script.
Sure thing. It's copyrighted so I don't mind sharing it. It came in as a quarterfinalist so far in the ongoing Screencraft Screenwriting Fellowship Contest.
You had me at "Intruders." Everything after that I didn't need to want to watch. ( I guess I'm IT ignorant. I can't seem to see how to get the stars in my post.

It sounds like a premise I've seen time and time again, especially in Don't Breathe.
How does this one stand apart?

If it's finished; a final draft / shooting script, I'll definitely have to give it a read.

You have an email address I could send it to?
