An unsuccessful painter threatened by homelessness is commissioned to paint family portraits for an accomplished sculptor suffering with dementia as his world becomes overtaken with a surrealist stranglehold of tightening insanity.
SYNOPSIS:
The Portrait is a psychological drama about an impecunious, desperately determined artist who is commissioned to paint portraits for the family of an accomplished sculptor diagnosed with early-onset dementia. Plagued with the drive, the ability, and the fear of being forgotten, he will endure family hardships and disillusionment to achieve his ambitions as he figures out his life priorities and what he is willing to sacrifice to be the best. The only thing that scares him more than being lost to time is losing his sanity to the stranglehold of tightening insanity. The Portrait will explore the themes of remembrance, family, and loss.
