Along the way I realized I needed to learn production, directing...in general really learn the business. Before finding my calling as a screenwriter I sang, danced and played the flute (Jazz).
My last year in undergrad I had the opportunity to collaborate on writing a musical that would be performed in the main theater of my college. My writing counterparts didn't contribute so over the summer break I found stage plays, read them and wrote my first stage play ( the book and lyrics). I also wound up doing the choreography, singing, dancing and acting. The play was a success at college and moved to a regional theater for a weekend. This was my A Ha! moment.
I realized I could write and us all my skills to tell a story! After writing two more musicals (one had a staged reading in NYC, the other closed during rehearsals because we ran out of money) I wanted to learn screenwriting. So I got the Syd Feld book, was accepted into an intensive writing course sponsored by WGAE and that was it! The man teaching the course told me I would wind up producing some of my work because my ideas were unique. I told him that I didn't want to do that.
He knew what he was talking about! These days I'm writing, looking for representation, etc. Right now I'm working to raise the capital needed to produce one of my current scripts. The movie world is changing so I have to go for it!
Nice to meet you!
Thanks Maggie! Nice to meet you as well!
Nice to meet you too Mike. I will be in touch more but right now I'm absorbed in rewrites. Take care.

Currently, I have 3 screenplays that I'm seeking financing to produce or license. I've written more but these are the gems. I had a conversation via Stage 32, with Kevin Nicklaus a few weeks ago. After reading on of my screenplays gave me great advice. The discussion was great and he loved the story. Thanks Stage 32!!!
I'm open to speaking to anyone around the world.
In Peace,
Hisani
