SYNOPSIS:

Senatorial aide Toby Watford has no sooner rediscovered an old flame than he stumbles upon menacing gunmen transferring documents in the street near Washington, DC. He is rescued by a bizarre figure in a trench coat who dispatches the gunmen with ease and vanishes into the sewers. In due course, he realizes the ex-girlfriend he deserted is his counterpart in PR for his boss's surging electoral challenger, whom he also discovers is dealing advanced personal weapons technology. Under threat of blackmail, he plays along with the political opponent until he discovers the Senator leads a bizarre double-life as the night-time vigilante who rescued him. Pressed on both sides, Toby has to choose between two dangerous courses and side with one political antagonist or the other.
