When a string of unexpected deaths derails the student council's end-of-senior-year masquerade gala, Cardou University's supposedly brightest must face their dark secrets and impassioned relationships to unmask the killer and survive the night.
SYNOPSIS:
Of course, Ricky just had to ruin the Cardou University’s Student Council End-of-Year Masquerade Gala by dying. Three days left before graduation and he can’t even keep his shit together for that long. Typical. Though originally blasé about the death, his fellow student council members' apathy soon turns to fear as they realize Ricky was murdered and they are trapped in the mansion as more of their acquaintances are killed off.
While ostensibly the smartest kids in school, the remaining council members don't even have the common sense to try to stop the killer. Instead, the council brings out the worst in each other with dark secrets, from blackmail to cheating to mental health issues, being brought to light. Love, loyalty, and trust are tested as in-fighting only increases. It’s not until grief has broken most of their ranks that they begin to actively look for a way to solve their little dying problem.
When tensions reach an all-time high as their numbers dwindle and the investigation dawdles, the final blow hits as friends turn to foes. But even if they do unmask the killer, will anyone be able to survive the night?
With our senior year being ruined due to COVID, much like many other peoples, we realized there was no better time to tell a college-set story. Especially since this anthology series features a diverse, LGBTQIA+ inclusive, and female-led ensemble cast which has widespread appeal in addition to targeting not only the YA demographic, but the often-ovelooked college demographic.
