I like the basic plot and I think this logline is short, sweet and to the point. But it doesn't give the reader much information or set itself apart from every other movie or show centered around detectives chasing pedophiles or murderers.
For instance, True Detective: Two philosophically misaligned detectives must reconcile their tumultuous past to solve a string of rapes and murders perpetrated by a savage and inexplicable cult.
Or The Alienist: A newspaper illustrator teams up with a criminal psychologist to investigate a serial killer targeting child prostitutes in New York during the late 19th century.

Frank Baruch definitely still a wip, but this is great feedback. Thank you so much!

Oh boy, Kawan, I love this already. I think that Frank made some great points & for my money, I'd kinda like to hear more of a link in the logline between this suspected pedophile and his son's death (if there is one, I'm presuming that there is). It would even be enough to say "young son's death", to be honest.
Holy cow. I'm into this already, though.
Angela Cristantello putting up a new version today, stay tuned.

Nice work, Kawan! Much better than what you originally had. I think the stakes could be a little clearer and I'd personally like to know a little more about the setting but otherwise very intriguing.
