When the incubus that nearly killed her long ago attacks her 14-year-old daughter, a mentally ill woman must gain her estranged sister’s aid to battle the demon and save her daughter’s life.

SYNOPSIS:

Cassandra, 16, sets fire to her classroom. She is diagnosed as having schizophrenia and sleep paralysis—a terrifying real condition that Cassandra believes is caused by a demonic incubus. Unable to persuade her family that the demon's nightmarish assaults are real, she launches a desperate plan to save herself, with tragic consequences. Years later, her older sister Kylie, now a sleep medicine physician, learns Cassandra's daughter has begun suffering similar nocturnal attacks, which Cassandra insists is proof that the demon has returned. When events eventually prove Cassandra correct, the estranged sisters must find a way to destroy the demon before the next new moon, when the demon, and its human accomplice, aim to slaughter the young girl in a grisly ritual.
