We met Clara, a girl with a unique talent that she uses to understand, protect and become a part of her reality. She grew up as a weird gifted child and managed to use her drawing skills to avoid being bullied and used her weirdness to her advantage to obtain social acceptance.

Clara was a peculiar girl, and she grew up to be a very particular skinny girl prone to suffer accidents due to her everlasting distracted doodling around. She is exceptionally talented and constantly paints, even with her fingers in the air. Clara is in love in silence with her next-door neighbor Eddy, a handsome paramedic that is always taking care of her when she has her little accidents and needs medical attention.

Eddy is a taciturn intelligent young man. He is studying medicine, and as Clara's neighbor, he is the one who has to deal with all the injuries Clara suffered due to her clumsiness. Clara is profoundly in love with Eddy, and he seems to love her back, but none of them dares to confess their love for each other until it is too late.

One day, as he was sewing a big cut on her face due to an ugly fell she suffered from skating, they had a moment and got very close to kissing, but got interrupted by an emergency alarm. Eddy went off to help and never came back. He died that day in that fire. There is an explosion. And in a blink of an eye, Clara loses the love of her life without even kissing him.

Clara is devastated. She closes her heart and never gets emotionally involved again. Still, the young girl is a free spirit and grows to be a great street artist, always protected by all her friends, skating down the street and selling his paintings. Her friends care for and protect her, he also has some guys into her, but she is not interested in love. Her immense love for Eddy didn't die with him. And she is not ready to love again.

One day she is painting in the street, and Javier (A sad widower that lost her beloved wife some years ago and still didn't move on), crashes his skateboard into Clara and her paintings. When Javier opens his eyes, he sees the vision that made him crash perfected in Clara's painting canvas. Javier is a writer and a poet. He married very young Chris, the love of his life. A very beautiful red-headed woman died giving birth to her second child. Now he is a widower with a teen daughter and a little three years old girl. Something odd seems to connect Javier and Clara. Clara started obsessive painting everything in red, with all kinds of red strokes.

Meanwhile, Javier began to have terrible nightmares that only calmed down when he was near Clara. Javier is still in love with Chris, his dead wife. Red curly hair and emerald green eyes, always nicknamed "the red girl."

Throughout the movie, we get to know her and their beautiful life together, which makes us understand the beautiful love they share. How they fall in love, their travels, their wedding, her death, the grief, and Javier ́s reaction to her passing. We also see Clara and Eddy's story. That way, Clara and Javier, still carrying around their ghosts for the first time after their significant losses, give each other the chance to love again. But make no mistake. THIS IS NOT A LOVE STORY. The ghosts have a considerable toll on the characters' psique.

The ghosts, indeed, have a very creepy saying in this tale. Eddy and Chris, the hero and the red lady. Eddy tries to protect Clara cause he is a hero, and it's his duty. It is what he always had done. Chris tries to be with Javier cause she doesn't believe reality should keep them apart.

Eddy lost. Chris is a much more stubborn and powerful ghost. She tricked them all.

Chris made Javier crash into Clara. She made her paint red, she was getting stronger and stronger, and she needed to be with his beloved husband again. Eddy tried to warn Clara, but as their strong feelings for Javier were growing in Clara, her connection with Eddy faded away. Until Chris took all the control. He made a red masterpiece with the blood of Javier on Clara's canvas.

Something born to be together will spend all the time they are separated looking for a way to reunite again. And Chris found the way to be eternal with Javier, this time forever.

This is not a love story, and Clara didn't pick the red color. A ghost' red visions did…
