*BEEP*

*BEEP*
By Nathan Waire

GENRE: Thriller, Mystery
LOGLINE:

A man describes the strange and often inexplicable events that happened to himself and his autistic brother over the course of their traumatic lives.

SYNOPSIS:

*BEEP* is my recently rewritten supernatural story based on I and my autistic brother's life growing up in a place that would later be called "The Murder Zone" by the news media. The story has a "ghostly" flair to it as the coming-of-age story transforms into a thriller. The novella (which is called Boy: A Story Based On True Events) has a 90 plus page script I wrote that takes place in Chicago, IL, Milwaukee, WI, and various parts of NJ from the 70s through the 90s. There is also a catch! In the script (which uses extremely harsh/politically incorrect language that I “beep”) my brother and I are mentioned anonymously as Man and Boy with a fictive counselor listening to our life story. By the end of the story the counselor becomes the focal point; a central character realizing that he is actually alone and has been talking to himself the whole time... Sort of the 3 men really being one idea which is not in the novella but adds a twist to the script! The script has recently won a first-place award in The SIFF (Swedish International Film Festival)

I watched trailer. Production value, good. Words spoken are understandable. (Hooray!) and the music is good, too, although more horror-like. But, I have absolutely no idea what the movie is about from the trailer. Truth? What truth? What are going to get? The log line was good. That prepared me for the film. It's unfortunate you had to 'beep' out anything. I'd rather hear what was said without stupid beeping. I'm an adult. I can take it. Drives me nuts to think artists have to beep anything.
