In this Cajun twist on "Froggy Went A-Courtin'", mouse mayor Mary Lou, and her beau Sly Snake, fight back when slimy land baron frog Rowley threatens to wreck their little bayou town of Sugarville--and their wedding.
SYNOPSIS:
Mary Lou, a mouse, has just been elected mayor of the little farming town of Sugarville, and is set to be married to her long-time sweetheart Sly Snake (the town mechanic). The night before their wedding, a suspicious fire burns the sugar mill to the ground--putting most of the town out of work. The slimy local land baron, a frog named Rowley, says he'll finish off the town--unless Mary Lou agrees to marry him. Sly Snake leaps in to defend Mary Lou's honor, but is beaten badly--and worse, accused of setting the fire. Sly has to get the goods on Rowley, clear his own name, and stop the wedding—before Rowley goes back on his (good for nothing) word and wipes Sugarville off the map.
