SYNOPSIS:

Principal Sandra Rockefeller, caught in a compromising position with a student in an affluent Los Angeles high school, has to take a step down to save the district's reputation. She ends up teaching in Spruce Nob, West Virginia, with a mixed pot of mischievous students and a backwoods culture that challenges her values, priorities, and a past romantic relationship. Despite the many trials and tribulations, Sandra sets out to endear herself to the community. She overcomes bitter confrontations with unappreciative parents, a vicious bear attack, and even a relentless reverend determined to convert her religious anonymity. When a tornado rips through Spruce Nob and levels the schoolhouse, Sandra packs her bags, ready to throw in the towel, but not before the townspeople come forth to rebuild and show Sandra how truly beloved she is.
