SYNOPSIS:
After a tragic accident claims the lives of her wealthy family, Carlota, the sole heiress, shuns the opulence of her inheritance and retreats to a humble life in Valdemossa, Mallorca. Living with her devoted nanny, Carlota dedicates herself to caring for orphans in a convent, finding solace in the simplicity of selling lavender in the village market. Her quiet existence is disrupted when Prince Liam, a renowned and troubled New York bandleader, arrives on the island seeking refuge. Reeling from betrayal by his girlfriend—his band’s lead singer—who was caught in an affair with his father, Liam’s life spirals further when his mother is killed in a tragic accident on the island. Left emotionally shattered, Liam becomes a recluse, hidden away by the nuns in Carlota’s secluded home. As Carlota and Liam, two souls burdened by loss and trauma, are thrust into each other’s lives, they begin a tentative journey of healing. Through shared pain and unexpected moments of connection, they help each other confront their pasts. Together, they rediscover the strength to step back into the world, reclaiming not only their own lives but also their places on the grand stage of life.
So, now I come to one of my favourite feature film scripts. It is set on the picturesque island of Mallorca and is a heart-wrenching drama... It was a winner at the Love&hope International Film Festival in Barcelona in 2023, which is supported by Stage 32.

Thank you, guys!
Sophie, I like what I'm reading!
Got to thinking about the logline...and I was wondering how you feel about a shorter version. (I'm also on Script Revolution, where we can't have loglines over 35 words.)
Here goes:
A lavender saleswoman fights to hide her identity as a wealthy heiress despite living a modest life with her childhood nanny...but the arrival of a troubled bandleader uncovers her secret and threatens her world.
Just a thought.
Still, thanks for posting! Glad you're here on Stage 32, and here's wishing you all the VERY BEST!
