SYNOPSIS:

Jamal is a biracial teenager who attempts to find his identity among his African-American and Mexican-American background in a predominantly Latino neighborhood. Jamal discovers his identity through interactions with a band of senior Mexican musicians, his childhood Mexican-American friend Pedro, his cocky frenemy Romeo, his single mother Lorena, and his undocumented love interest, Jasmine.
