SYNOPSIS:
As Christmas approaches and a fierce winter storm bears down on Philadelphia, Betsy is thrust into a perilous mission for the American cause. Amid the icy chaos, Hessian soldiers launch a brutal attack on Nathaniel’s family, leaving him with nothing but a burning desire for revenge. Haunted by the horrors he’s witnessed, Nate joins General Washington’s ragtag army for a desperate, high-stakes assault on Trenton—one last chance to turn the tide of the Revolutionary War.
But Washington’s success hinges not only on Nate and his fellow soldiers but on Betsy’s courage and cunning. Tasked with a daring mission to stall Colonel Von Donop and his reinforcements, Betsy must outwit a ruthless enemy and buy Washington’s forces the precious time they need.
With the secret code phrase “victory or death” driving them forward, each of them faces the perilous odds of war—and the chance to change the course of history. In the freezing cold of winter, every decision could be their last, and the cost of failure is unimaginable. Will they survive the storm and secure the future of the fledgling nation?
