Pius Ogeki, a human rights lawyer was not expecting a difficult case when he got contacted by the Abive Family.
SYNOPSIS:
The Abive Family reported Solomon Abive, a computer software developer missing after he was last seen with a friend (Joshua) at a hotel.
The police intensified their quest to find Solomon due to constant pressure from his single mother. Two days later, they found Solomon’s lifeless body and quickly issued reports that he has been involved in cult activities and explicit drugs.
The police report was not convincing to the Abive family. His siblings (Sydney and Samuel) who were with him on the night they last saw him, had reported that they left Solomon at the hotel with his childhood friend, Joshua.
However, the police refusal to invite Joshua or find him who has been at large, and avoiding the family’s calls made the Abive Family involve a lawyer.
The Abive Family hired Pius Ageki, a human rights lawyer, to represent them.
A case he had thought to be a simple murder case later became one shrouded in corruption in the police hierarchy, bribery, and a larger conspiracy to shield the hotel’s management and the prime suspect.
Pius found himself tangled in the case making it hard for him to seek justice for the victim’s family.
