KYNA - SERIES "PILOT"
By Craig McLearie

GENRE: Thriller, Sci-fi
LOGLINE:

A young girl wakes up on a riverside in Glasgow with no recollection how she got there, and when she tries to figure out who she is, she falls down a rabbit-hole of sex, lies and synthetic flesh.

SYNOPSIS:

The year is 2052.

Great Britain is a very different place... England is a thriving "Mecha" for humans, with androids living alongside them, subservient, willing to do the duties humans used to do. Whereas Scotland has now become an industrial country, smog-filled Glasgow being the hub where androids are being manufactured in their thousands to be exported around the world to thriving first-world countries.

Kyna wakes up on a Glaswegian riverside, with no memory of who she is or where she came from. She encounters Douglas, a drunk on the verge of poverty as he scrounges parts in order to survive in a world that is moving too fast for him to keep up. Together, they form a very unlikely duo, as they endeavour to discern her origins.

Kyna learns she has exceptional strength, agility and stamina, impeccable hearing, knowledge that she shouldn't possess... and can communicate with anything electronic!

She discovers that she is an android!

But she is not like other androids. She has what some would call "free will", and can override her programming to make decisions, going against protocols that other androids are designed to follow.

There is something sinister happening in the world of robotics, and Kyna is drawn to one man who appears to be behind all of it... an English politician by the name of Christopher Myles. Publicly, he is a man of strength and conviction, but it soon comes to light that he has a secret. One that could easily cripple his position as a "man of the people".

Kyna was designed for a reason, and she will stop at nothing to find out what that reason is.
