SYNOPSIS:

PALM SPRINGS meets FREAKY FRIDAY - at Christmas! Britain's biggest pop star Bash swaps bodies with Nicole - a lawyer sent from his American record label to fire him - on the day of his big Christmas concert. The pair are stuck living the same day over and over again until they can fix their failed personal relationships and get their own bodies back. Bash coaches the uncomfortable, tone-deaf Nicole through his performance - and a guest role on a British Baking TV competition - while searching for a way to save his job. They both learn to be better people through living each other’s lives… and fall in love in the process.

This movie is for voracious viewers who consume a high quantity of rom-coms, especially during the holidays. They’re trope-savvy and are looking for high concept stories that are done well, like LAST CHRISTMAS. Stories that hit the beats they’re familiar with and add new takes on well-loved ideas.

With an edgy, modern sense of humour, the script includes memes and internet references to feel absolutely up-to-date and relevant to young audiences. Like LET IT SNOW, DASH & LILY and THE PRINCESS SWITCH, this festive rom-com is witty, diverse and heart-warming.

Characters

Sebastian 'Bash' Sinclair - A 31-year-old British popstar on the brink of a career collapse, who needs to turn things around before his label drops him. He’s charming but unreliable. Ever since he left his boy band ‘Boyzest’ to go solo, he’s been struggling to stick to his commitments.

Nicole Knox - A 27-year-old American entertainment lawyer sent to tell Bash that the label isn’t renewing his contract. She’s a perfectionist who hates making mistakes - to the extent that she broke up with her first love when he wanted to move to London to become an artist, instead of following their life plan. Utterly professional, she struggles to relax or embrace the unexpected parts of life. She was a huge fan of ‘Boyzest’ as a tween.

Rose Sinclair - Bash’s PR Manager and older sister, she is constantly trying to get him under control. She is exasperated by his self-sabotaging behaviour, but sees the good in him nonetheless.

Liam - Bash’s ex-bandmate. The duo were school friends who got famous from a TV talent show at the age of 16. They were a global phenomenon for over a decade until Bash decided to call it quits. Liam seems to have it all in his own successful solo career… but is he really happy?

Leila - Another lawyer at the record label, she is acting as tour guide for Nicole while she’s in London. She has a mutual crush on Rose.

Michael - Nicole’s ex-boyfriend from college, who now lives in London working as an artist. They never had closure over their relationship, and he’s trying to arrange to see her during her trip. But does he want to rekindle their romance, or heal old wounds?
