An Olympic sculler and a daring bullfighter face major lifestyle challenges when they attempt a long-distance same-sex relationship.

DANA an American Olympic athlete reluctantly travels to Canada with friends to attend a Gay Rodeo weekend. During the pre-rodeo dance, she witnesses a very drunk woman trying to pick a fight with another woman. Intrigued that the woman doesn’t fight back, she watches for the perfect moment to meet “accidentally”.

JAMIE annoyed her ex showed up, puts it behind her. As she enjoys her time on the dance floor, she unexpectedly crosses paths with Dana. Parting after a brief introduction, they catch each other’s eyes a few times and finally chat, then dance together. The next day at the rodeo, Dana is stunned to see Jamie is a Canadian Professional Rodeo Bullfighter. As high-caliber athletes, an accelerated romance ensues. Dana soon experiences conflict with her subconscious past and ultimately blames Jamie’s precarious profession. Dana’s reluctance to address her violent nightmares eventually drives them apart.

Dana, heartbroken falls apart and becomes reclusive. She watches Jamie on TV at major rodeos and is further depressed. Jamie is excelling without her. Maybe, just maybe she does need some professional help. Her reoccurring nightmares are becoming more alarming. A news highlight shows Jamie surrounded by paramedics, critically injured by a bull. Dana, knowing the stubborn jerk she’s been, calls a counselor, determined to win Jamie back. That is if Jamie survives.

Jamie, unconscious for weeks finally wins the battle for her life. Dana succeeds in her fight with the hospital’s visitation policy of “Immediate family only” shortly after Jamie wakes up.

Dana discusses her newly rescued soul with Jamie and their relationship is rekindled, leading them to figure out how to plan their lives together.
