SYNOPSIS:

John’s race car driving wife died from a traffic accident after a long hospitalization. John goes broke paying the medical bills. As a California Transportation Commissioner he takes a bribe. He drives from LA to Sacramento picking up a hitchhiker on the way, Garth, an eccentric doctor. Garth describes a new transportation system which uses the freeways thus no issues about rights-of-way, construction of road beds and major structure building. The passengers can exchange cars to another location without the train stopping! John and Garth get a motel. Garth is killed by a runaway semi. John heads to Sacramento and the would be bribe. In Sacramento he brushes off the would be bribers and heads to Garth’s funeral in search of Garth’s mass transit plans. At the funeral, John meets Beth, Garth’s sister. She shows John not just the plans but also a working model. After seeing the plans and the model, John is so impressed that John wants Beth to testify at the final hearing. The antagonist, Brandon Haze, catches wind, from a spy, that John got the plans, which here-to-fore were suppressed by the spy. Haze, after he receives the news, sets his flunkies to the task of stopping Beth from testifying. Their plans didn’t work and Beth arrives at the hearing late but in time.
