BOYFRIENDZ

BOYFRIENDZ
By Xavion Niles

GENRE: Comedy, Drama
LOGLINE:

Secrets, jealousy, lies, and love tests the bond between four LGBTQ friends as they face the reality of growing up and entering the complicated world of adulthood.

SYNOPSIS:

"BOYFRIENDZ" is a coming-of-age sitcom focusing on the “growing pains” of four very different best friends, set in the titillating tri-state as we follow them on their journey of triumphs and failures to adulthood.

“The Love You Want vs. The Love You Need”

Julian, our hopeless romantic, and his involvement with Vernon and Terrence will be a major selling point for our viewers to stay with us through the series’ end. Julian and Vernon’s “on again, off again” passionate relationship and their never-ending love battle Julian's unconditional pure love affair with Terrence. In the end, which man will win Julian's heart once and for all?

“From Caterpillar to Butterfly”

Every show needs a character viewers love to hate, and five letters describe Darnell, A M-E-S-S. The self-centered, self-absorbed, and horny “boyfriend” finds himself at the center of the friends' drama pretty much all the time, sometimes to the point of blowing apart the best thing he has in his life...his friendships. Will Darnell be able to get over himself and become a healthy addition to the group? Only time will tell.

“Going Backward To Go Forward”

While Julian and Darnell’s tumultuous love lives keep our viewers on a rocky wave, Stony and Z’s long-term relationship gives our viewers a functioning couple to keep them steady…until they decide to take the next step and put a ring on it. Will the cracks in their relationship turn into craters and leave their altar empty? Or will the two get the happily ever after they've always dreamed of?

Fresh ideas are needed in Hollywood, but reboots are also garnering major attention which is why “BOYFRIENDZ” is perfect for today. With the humor of “Friends”, the sexiness of “Sex and the City”, and its complex LGBTQ+ ensemble; “BOYFRIENDZ” is something old, something new, something borrowed, and something TRUE.

No "raisins". The logline is dry and does not moisturize the reader's thoughts. For example, the movie "Alien" 1979

A team of space truckers receives a signal from an unknown planet, according to the protocol, it is necessary to investigate the source of the signal, but during the study of the signal, one of the crew members becomes infected by an unknown life form. Infection of a crew member is only the beginning of the development of an alien organism. There must be material that develops into something big. Please forgive me for the harsh criticism.
