SYNOPSIS:

After losing his younger sister to cancer, mid-20s priest, Gabriel Torres, takes an assignment to fill in for an old priest who recently died in an accident in the small farming town of San Simon, New Mexico. What he discovers is that the residents are under a cloud of terror. They believe the soul of a recently executed murderer has returned to claim more lives, starting with the old priest. But, there are more souls, more spirits at work than meets the eye, as dark histories, secrets and painful pasts come to light, all in the midst of a chilling series of encounters that seem to have one purpose only: to cover the town in a darkness of death and hate. Terrible allegations against the old priest come to light, as Gabriel struggles with both his calling and his faith. Is there hope for forgiveness beyond the grave, even for acts so heinous? Are there sinister spirits hell-bent on blocking the path to this hope and healing for those in this world and the next? Dante called it the Edge of Hell in his great work, The Inferno.
