What makes a king leave his kingdom, and everything he knows behind, all to follow a star? This is a fictitious account of the Magi, that is the three kings, told as an adventure in the style of “The Raiders of the Lost Ark.” Perfect for a Christmas season release.

SYNOPSIS:

It is 7 B.C. and King Gaspar is talking with his most trusted advisor, Jedidiah. Jedidiah has attempted to teach Gaspar what he has learned in his sacred scrolls, though oftentimes he has met with some resistance in doing so. Nevertheless, Jedidiah has held the belief that one day Gaspar will come around to his way of thinking, that is, until today. Gaspar has won many battles and furnished his followers with spoils of war. Jedidiah is angered by Jedidiah’s hubris and as Gaspar gathers with his captains for battle, Jedidiah leaves the company of Gaspar and his men heading out alone on his mule.

On the way to the battlefield, Gaspar and his men discover a woman alone with her baby who is being harassed by two of Gaspar’s scouts. She curses at Gaspar and spits in his face as her husband's life has been claimed in the war for land which Gaspar has been a part of. He takes pity on the woman and her child and orders one of his men to see that she is returned to his camp safely and taken care of.

Jedidiah is in the desert, on his way away from Gaspar and his mule stops and turns around. No matter what he does the mule will not carry him any further away from Gaspar. In fact, the animal turns back into the direction of the battlefield, awaiting Jedidiah’s burden.

The battle commences and Gaspar shows great prowess upon the field of battle. Nevertheless, he is taken unawares and hit over the head with a rock. His trusted captains take him for dead and he is left unconscious upon the battlefield. Later, Jedidiah, half asleep upon his mule, winds up upon the corpse-scattered field, and his mule nuzzles an unconscious Gaspar into waking.

Jedidiah comes to Gaspar’s aid only to learn that due to his concussion, Gaspar has been struck blind. Jedidiah implores Gaspar to promise him that he will follow the star that has recently appeared in the sky to greet the birth of a new king. Gaspar agrees and promises to do so. But as the two enter the city Jediah is bludgeoned for the petty bounty of a gold piece. This leaves Gaspar distraught at the loss of his oldest friend and mentor, alone and blindly stumbling through the confines of the foreign city.
