In light of a series of sexual "indiscretions," a 17th century Puritan colony confronts the potential unraveling of its tightly wound morality. Think The Scarlet Letter as an ironic comedy.
Oooooh, I LOVE The Little Hours! The only thing that I'd suggest is maybe leaning into the "ironic comedy" a bit more within the actual logline. I don't think that you need to overdo it at all, but another small hint beyond "indiscretions" would be huge here, I think.
Thanks, Angela Cristantello -- the script's actually inspired by the first recorded case of bestiality in Colonial America (He was this year detected of buggery [and indicted for the same] with a mare, a cowe, two goats, five sheep, two calves, and a turkey. Horrible it is to mention, but the truth of the historie requires it -- William Bradford, Of Plymouth Plantation), so it's a fine line between hinting and not. Maybe I identify the fact that it's a farm hand's indiscretions ...

I'd still watch it right now, as is :)

Thanks for the movie recommendation, Molly. Hadn't seen that one.
