SYNOPSIS:

Rust is the story of two good men at a crossroads when their morals meet harsh reality. Andy is a hardworking family man whose life has been steadily unraveling since he was laid-off over a year ago. Unemployment ran out and there are few opportunities in his working class western Pennsylvania town. He needs to make money and soon! Brian makes a great living as an attorney, but his private life has fallen to shambles when he suspects his wife Diane is having an affair. His sense of justice demands recompense but Brian just doesn’t have what it takes. Brian and Andy cross paths. Andy quickly realizes that the life of crime he has stayed away from while watching it suck others in is the tempting devil whispering in his ear, the thing that can put food on the table. And the one who takes Andy into this life is another essentially good man in Brian. Through this ordeal Brian realizes just how much he loves Diane and sees himself through her eyes. Meanwhile G.D., the town dealer and evildoer (and Diane’s estranged younger brother), is the force of true justice. He is the one with a code that, although morally dubious, is never broken.
