SYNOPSIS:

UNSCRIPTED, UNSOLVED is a one-hour procedural TV drama containing elements of magical realism grounded in African spirituality. The series tells the story of a former reality tv executive who must solve crimes within the entertainment industry to appease a supernatural being. Ten episodes will be used to unpack protagonist Moja Stanley’s journey from hasbeen television mogul to telekinetic powers-wielding vigilante whose journey to avenge the death of her cousin doubles as a lesson in finally letting her rest. Set in the present-day Greater Los Angeles Area, this series also follows Moja’s friends/partners-in-fighting-crime, producer Symphonee Carr and actor Kente Downes. Like Moja, they are also contending with the precarity of their respective futures following major shifts in both their personal and professional lives. Although these three young Black queer artists take on corruption and exploitation within the industry they love in order to protect it, an even bigger question they must face is whether or not that protection perpetuates the very ills they are fighting against.
