LOGLINE:

'A talented soccer player has to recover from a devastating car wreck to save his family from an unhinged psychotic brother.

SYNOPSIS:

'Carmen (36) stares from a window, attractive, olive skinned, smoldering, stifled, beautiful. She’s a mother, a cleaner, a writer, a storyteller, a whore?

In an east LA small town, a narcissistic thug Jake Spiro, runs a small drug cartel. Preoccupied with money and his appearance he keeps a tight rein on his business associates. In a small pond he is a big fish.

Cazar Rodriguez is confident, streetwise, a businessman on the wrong side of the tracks. His business is drugs. Cazar wants to be a big fish like like Spiro. He constantly fights with his two younger brothers, Miguel and Hector and will die before them. Cazar has mapped a path and follows it to the letter. He works for Spiro, a boss who is not to be crossed.

Miguel plays soccer, his overriding passion, his world is training and playing; he can do nothing to save his older brother Cazar, as he becomes less rational as business and his life falters. He can help Hector his younger brother to stay off that same path. Carmen is the single mother of the three boys. She is the bond and rock that holds the family on as sane an even course as she is able.

Cazar is involved in a traffic accident that has the potential to ruin his dreams of the big league - he needs an inspiration on the road to convalescense and finds it in the wings of an injured hawk - a bond is formed and a journey is undertaken towards recovery for both of them --Events conspire to unhinge what looks like a happy ending as his older brothers paranoia towards the bird and his family takes on psychotic consequences.
