SYNOPSIS:

SENTINELS

After intervening in a street robbery, James Pace barely survives being shot. Suddenly a media sensation, his selfless act brings a surprise offer that promises to change his life. RACE AMAZON is the ultimate televised endurance race and he's been invited to take part, as both video diarist and competitor. The chance to take on this jungle adventure and raise millions for charity also comes with the promise of personal fame and fortune.

Eager to take part but oblivious to the sinister truth behind the race, or the covert organisation behind it, Pace soon finds himself stranded alone in the jungle, being ruthlessly hunted. With his team mates murdered and highly skilled assassins dogging his heels, he must dredge up every rusty skill the military ever taught him if he wants to survive.

With fangs, claws, blades and bullets lurking behind every shadow, the only way out of the jungle alive is to take the fight to a vicious enemy. No mercy and no quarter given.

Pace has killed before, for Queen and Country, but this time he's on his own. At least, he thinks he is.

This pilot episode is structured as the initial episode of an 8-12 episode season x 45-60 minutes. The script is based on my RACE AMAZON novels with an anti-hero theme. The books could also be transcribed/condensed into a feature of approximately 2.5 - 3 hours duration.
