At Maggi's suggestion, Scott and Jeff are forced into replaying the smash-and-grab heist they pulled off in 1985 to make the pay off...or die trying.

Meanwhile, Police Detective HENRY BALLISTER is waiting for the release of JOANNA CLARIDGE from the state penitentiary, where she's served her full sentence as an accomplice in the race track robbery. Joanna has steadfastly maintained her innocence. But Ballister still isn't convinced until Joanna spots Scott after his arrival back in town and reports her sighting back to the detective.

As techno-dinosaurs, Jeff and Scott have little hope of succeeding in the brave new world of computerized security... yet their repeat attempt almost works. Unfortunately for them, Joanna's tip has Ballister right on top of things. Jeff is gunned down in a shoot-out during the get-away. Scott, on the other hand, nearly eludes Ballister...until he’s mysteriously overpowered.

But the robbery has already worked out the way it was supposed to: Jeff, Scott and Ballister were all patsies this time around. As it turns out, Maggi met Joanna in prison, where they became friends and lovers. Using both the Internet and Maggi as her surrogate and courier, Joanna set the new job up to get revenge on the men who left her to take the fall.

In the end, Joanna and Maggi sail off with the loot while the man who once tried to kill Joanna lies dead on the pavement and the man who broke her heart twenty years ago is on his way to the chair.
