A Struggling artist outwits an elitist art world kingpin by faking his own fame, only to discover real success lies in defying expectations and staying true to his art.
SYNOPSIS:
Leonard can’t figure out where it’s all going wrong. A dedicated artisan, his family friends and fiance Christina are all supportive of his sculpture and illustration. But it’s not translating into the cash and lifestyle he set out for, and sees so many lesser artists attain. Despairing, working multiple jobs to get by, and fearing the future he relents to Christina’s offer to help and promote his work. She tracks down some potential collaborators, former leaders of the New York art scene who jump at the chance to champion an up and coming artist. They bring experience and know how, but also baggage and exposure - one still locked in an age old dispute with a devious rival, the other fighting off legal troubles for his lax attitude around copyright. It’s a motley crew that finds success - possibly more than they intended. And when the target is placed firmly on their backs the might of their opponents looks like it might break their resolve, intention, and passion once and for all.
