Home. Once a planet of strength and culture, was lost long ago to its people, scattering them across the stars. The The Waite family, asteroid miners of The Block, have uncovered a relic of the past and their journey to uncover the secrets of their lost heritage will force them to choose between the glories of the past or the future they’ve built themselves.
SYNOPSIS:
The Waite family carves out a life hopping between asteroid belts and wreckage fields on “The Block,” a massive mining station that triples as spaceship and city as well. Akida has ascended past his siblings to be the newest pilot of the “Mansa'' mech suit, making him the public face of the Waite family and the new primary defender of The Block. During a routine incursion by some diminutive invaders, Akida stumbles across a wreck of an ancient tool from “Home,” a long lost home planet and source culture for his people. His discovery kicks off a hunt by the denizens of the Block for the keys to their forgotten heritage, unearthing secrets of the past and forgotten conspiracies that led to the scattering of their species. During their search, they find themselves fighting and befriending remnants of their scattered people and a menagerie of aliens who each may have their own designs for the knowledge the Waite family has found. Their journey will shift their views of the past, as well as their ideas of what they’ve become in the wake of losing Home, finding that perhaps bygone glory is not as important as the future they’ve built.

Nice logline!:) I'm really curious how this relic can force them to choose between their past or future. Well done I'd say, I'm definitely interested in how this sentence unfolds in the screenplay. However, I am wondering how credible it is that one relic in the entire galaxy leads them to discover their lost heritage? But I am sure, if you work on the laws of your world within the screenplay, this will become plausible to the audience
