An ex-con who gets out and cannot find work, gets involved  with the drug cartels in Mexico when those he thought he could ultimately trust  turn against him.

SYNOPSIS:

An ex-con who gets out and cannot find work, gets involved with the drug cartels in Mexico when those he thought he could ultimately trust turn against him. Chris Delgado aka P runs a prison gang while he is locked up. His homeboys and ride till they die, brothers are Romero and Niko. Once out, after all of them have done at least 15 flat years, they try to grow out of the prison life. P has 2 blood brothers, Tony and Carlito, both straight laced. They help P get on his feet after he gets out since their parents died while he was inside. No one will give P a job in the real world due to his background and P is tired of taking handouts. So he calls Niko one day to see what he has been doing with his time. When they meet up, he sees that Niko has a small prostitution ring going on. P brings up Niko's connected cartel cousin, Rico. After some convincing, they go to visit Rico personally in Mexico. Rico tries to get them into the mule business, but P doesn't want that. So instead they get into the flesh trading business. All goes well for some time, but with fast money comes thoughts of faster money. So they get their other homeboy, Romero involved as well. During one of the routine pickups, they are stopped, kidnapped, and robbed by another cartel. After a daring escape, P finds out one of the whores set em all up. He goes to Rico to recover the losses and for another job, paying more. Rico says there is only one thing, a hit man. Rico tells him that he will be killing women, children, animals, or anything so not to get soft on him. P agrees and starts to whack out people who stand in the cartel's way. P tries to keep his family and business separate at the same time, but Carlito already knows something funny is going on. Things are going great until P has a job to take out a US senator. Once this is done, the FBI get involved and go after Rico. Rico turns sides and tells them it was P. So he sets up a hit for P and his homeboys to fall into a death trap. Niko flakes out so P has to get someone he can trust. He gets Tony and they go to the hit. After a horrendous shootout, P and Tony barely make it out. P also finds out Rico was responsible for this. When he gets back, P finds Niko dead and then sees that the cartel sent hits for Tony and his wife. Now all alone and nothing to lose, P decides to go after the cartel single-handedly. Carlito is informed on all this and decides to help his brother on this suicide mission only this one time cause it's family. This story about love, loyalty, and family will never be forgotten. It is nonstop action from beginning to end, leaving you with a feeling that crime doesn't pay.
