Synopsis
Governments and scientists cannot explain the terrifying worldwide cloud cover that has grounded air travel for weeks. Jill Lawrence, a determined TV journalist striving to be #1 at her network, has a lead – a navy pilot with photographic proof of a UFO-like island in the sky. Heading to the interview, Jill confronts a mugger, who fires his gun at her. Miraculously, Jill is fine, but in a blue flash, the shooter has instantly disappeared. Jill moves on and coaxes the pilot to share secret photographic evidence. The pilot describes the island’s magnificent beauty, but Jill is unable to decipher what was found in the clouds.
So Jill turns to Steve Randall, the Speaker of the House. Years ago, she rejected his marriage proposal, refusing a church wedding or anything to do with God after witnessing the assassination of her father, a US Senator. Sparks still fly when Steve meets Jill at a restaurant. The White House has already briefed him on the crisis. Unlike Jill, Steve can visualize this beautiful heavenly phenomenon in the photos. The President couldn’t see it either. He assumes this is a hostile force, and puts the military on high alert.
Throughout the evening, Jill’s phone pings with text messages from someone named Helen saying “I do not like the world as it is”. Steve remembers the late Helen Keller used some of the same quotes as this Helen. Now, Helen interrupts all international television and internet services proclaiming “Mother” is the actual Creator of Earth and the afterlife. Mother wants us to “Love Everybody” and will no longer tolerate the violence on this planet. We have 24 hours to fully embrace peace or face global elimination. While some think this is a high-tech hoax or aliens, Steve convinces Jill this is truly Divine Intervention. Jill attends the President’s press conference and challenges him to give peace a chance. She then replies to the texts asking what Helen wants from her. Helen repeats Jill’s father’s final words – “Change the world”. Jill receives a final text from Helen with nautical coordinates off the Atlantic shore.
Jill is rekindling her love with Steve who assists her in getting to their old boat, navigating through the chaos of the DC streets with protestors chanting – Love Everybody. At sea, Jill helps to rescue an escaped prisoner who she recognizes as the murderer of her father. After choosing forgiveness over revenge, Jill is transported to an angelic dimension for a globally televised interview with a panel of historical advocates of peace - Muhammad Ali, John Lennon, and Pope John Paul II. They reveal answers about “Life” - our wonderful eternal home where everyone can experience everlasting love. The inspirational panel invites people to change and join them, but cautions that killers will not be rewarded. The Pope shares that her parents have been proudly watching her. Jill sees her greater purpose and pleads for peace on international TV while Steve struggles to convince the President to avoid an attack. The President, bitter over the death of his child, defies a UN agreement and orders the pilot to attack the mysterious cloud. The doomsday countdown drops from seven hours to seven minutes. The world witnesses Jill and Steve’s heartfelt professions of love as they bid farewell to each other. However, Mother overrides the attack. There is a blue flash in the Oval Office instantly eliminating the President and VP, propelling Steve as next in line to the presidency. Mother now trusts Jill and Steve, who have convinced all other countries to disarm and live in peace, thus saving us all from extinction.
At the White House, the Chief Justice marries Jill and the new president. Jill found love and faith. She made her parents proud and saved the world while delivering history’s greatest news story.
