An ambitious young woman navigates the workplace insanity of a celebrity management company that specializes in social media influencers, as she struggles for an authentic human connection in the age of social media.
SYNOPSIS:
Fresh-faced and wide-eyed, Jessica Wozniakowski lands a job at UTI, a boutique management company that specializes in managing the careers of social media influencers. Their clients range from glamour gurus on Instagram to musicians on TikTok to gamers on Twitch to grumpy cats on YouTube and beyond. We meet Jessica at her first day on the job. Her deceptively clueless, middle-aged boss, Bill Cramer, is obsessed with eyeballs and today it’s all about going viral. His plan is to inspire his people to greatness by forcing them to participate in a reckless stunt right out of the Tide Pods playbook. When his internet challenge goes horribly wrong and UTI’s legendary manager, Jack Hayward, ends up in the hospital, Jessica is forced to fill in for him at the event of the year, Mommy Con, the biggest convention of mommies on the planet. Jessica's first assignment as a junior management trainee is to get Jack’s top client and certified hot mess, Gina Molina - influencer of all things mommy - safely, securely, and as soberly as possible to Mommy Con so she can give the keynote address, and sell her newest book to her rabid fans.
