In a world divided by Insiders and Outsiders, Sherman (a neurotic, germophobe young Insider) is forced to choose between a committed lifestyle of never leaving the house or losing the only woman he’s ever loved who has decided to become an Outsider.

SYNOPSIS:

Sherman never leaves the house and lives his life online and through apps. He has an app for food, an app to attend his mom’s funeral, an app to visit the doctor, an app to talk to his dead mom in the afterlife and a VGFB (Virtual Girlfriend with Benefits) App to fall in love with a girl – Samantha. The trouble begins when Sam uses her Uber-Pup app to rent a dog. The dog needs to be walked which leads to Sam encountering a well-cut blue collar ‘Boarder’(they’re the guys who board up local retailers that are going out of business). After experiencing real flesh-on-flesh sex, Sam decides the ‘Outsider’ life is for her but her heart still belongs to Sherman. She gives Sherm an ultimatum, come outside and share a ‘real’ intimate relationship or it’s over. Sherman consults the poorly animated avatars, icons, and artificial intelligent app characters for advice and finally summons up his dead mom Ruth using the RIP Afterlife App. Even in death Ruth hasn’t figured out how to frame herself properly in a webcam. Sherman ultimately decides to risk-it-all for love, become an Outsider and be with Samantha.
