LOGLINE:

A public defender on the path to become District Attorney awakens to the truth that he’s a miracle healer and now must compete for the most scrutinized political seat in the county while preventing his spontaneous healing abilities from coming to light.

SYNOPSIS:

OVERVIEW

Bodhi Brown is a highly successful public defender committed to a life of public service. However, Bodhi is completely unaware that his true path of service is not meant for the legal world, but the healing world. It’s not until Bodhi undergoes a brain aneurysm that new mental pathways open up in his brain and force his suppressed healing power to become restored. Soon sick and injured people start to invade Bodhi’s world with claims that he's a miracle healer and beg to be cured, causing Bodhi’s public and personal life to completely unravel. The culprit behind sending the ill people to Bodhi is Tyshira, his former child psychiatric nurse. Tyshira was murdered forty years earlier in an attempt to whistle blow on the corrupt mental hospital experimenting on Bodhi and other empathic children. Tyshira has now returned as Bodhi’s spirit guide and her one and only mission is to restore Bodhi back onto his healing path. But when Mara, a pay-to-play court clerk, witnesses Bodhi's healing power, she has other cunning plans to leverage his healing gift for her own profit in order to buy her daughter’s freedom from her Uncle’s drug dealing business. In the end, Bodhi, Tyshira and Mara find themselves toxically entangled in order to accomplish their competing agendas.

Hey Nate. Thanks for rating my logline. Always helpful to have someone who has no idea what I'm doing to give it fresh eyes. I've revised the logline to hopefully capture more of the essence of the story. Would you mind taking a look again? Thanks.
