When a D.C. attorney goes missing on a trip to meet his accused terrorist clients’ families in Pakistan, his headstrong fiancée decides to find him herself, risking her life in a deadly confrontation, not only with a terrorist cell plotting an attack but also with her own country’s intelligence services—those who know her deeply classified identity. (Female Jason Bourne)
SYNOPSIS:
ALYSSA MANER, a 28-year-old systems analyst (supposedly), becomes worried when she cannot reach her fiancée, attorney JAMIL SINGH, 32, who has gone to Pakistan for a face-to-face meeting with the family of his latest clients, two alleged terrorists detained for plotting to kill the U.S. Secretary of State. Frustrated that the government is doing nothing about it, Alyssa decides to find Jamil herself.
Slipping through the protection of BRYCE SIMMS, a flirty representative from the American Consulate (in reality, a military black-ops intelligence officer), Alyssa is captured in an ambush on her way to a remote village to follow a lead on Jamil's location.
What she does not know—at least apparently—is that U.S. intelligence believes the original domestic arrests were only a cover designed to disguise Jamil’s true mission, to go to Pakistan and bring back instructions and codes triggering a terrorist attack on America by embedded cells. Alyssa, through a planted tracking device, is being used by certain parties in her own government, to pinpoint the location of Jamil and his contacts and, once she is on site in the village, a high-altitude bombing strike is launched to wipe out the plotters – the sacrifice of Alyssa determined to be a loss worth taking—though a lone American general maintains a private belief in her ability to survive virtually any mission.
With the help of a gun-toting, teenage, Britney Spears fan who has orders to kill her from another source entirely, Alyssa survives, to risk her life in a final test.
