In 1899, a white detective pieces together the death of his father, a Union General in an all-black town, led by its gunslinging outlaw at the end of the civil war.

SYNOPSIS:

As the civil war between the Union and The Confederacy nears its end, a vibrant riverside city, Edmonds, has become a sanctuary for many former slaves Johnathan “Quick” Williams, a gunslinging outlaw, has formed a crew and has acted as the protector of the city since his escape from slave owner Lorenzo Kain. Kain, who is a wealthy and powerful supporter of the Confederacy, is worried that the confederate states will lose the war forcing him to lose the plantation he’s built. After the death of his son, Kain enlist the help of Josh Dobbs, a confederate soldier to terrorize the city and locate Quick, who is believed to be behind the murder. In Edmunds, the director of the city and former house slave for Kain, Jimmie Ray has grown tired of Quick and his gang causing the city to suffer wants them to be turned in for the murder. Quick refuses and instead returns to Kain’s plantation to free the rest of the slaves. Dobbs returns to the town and attempts to capture Quick; he narrowly escapes and ends up in Wilson James, a Union army general’s custody. With Quick gone, Jimmie Ray turns the town over to the confederacy so Kain can use it as leverage to bring down the presidency. The effort proves to be fruitily as the confederacy surrenders. Dobbs reignites the hatred withing the government causing Kain to take former confederate soldiers and form his own army to destroy the city. Quick returns to finally put an end to the fighting and faces off with the Union army and Kains newly built army to save the city.
