SYNOPSIS:

BEATRICE is a story about two families: Both have money and power in their own right, but one person wants it all and will do whatever it takes within her supernatural power to have it.

This is a fictitious story taking place in two sister towns in northern Texas. The protagonist, Beatrice Fitch-Barr, has gained what she has through family inheritance, intimidation, manipulation, lying, and even murder if that’s what it took to obtain her desires.

The antagonist, however, comes from a family who, through honesty and hard work, built a business selling the best beef, cattle, and high-quality horses in the area that includes Dallas and Fort Worth.

While Beatrice is the wealthiest, most powerful person in the area that was competing to be another Dallas, James Alford, of Alford Farms, leads the highest grossing company in the rural town of Southstand.

Beatrice not only wants Alford Farms as one of her holdings, but she also wants James, the person she has loved since they were children.

The problems: How is Beatrice going to own Alford Farms, and what will she do with the Alford family? That is and will always be a family business, so they say, so they won’t sell to her easily. She is already married; how can she end the marriage and still have everything that has been earned by simply being Mrs. Barr? Also, she must think of her children’s future. James is married; how does Beatrice get rid of his wife? James has a new baby, with Beatrice, which just sweetens the deal for her since she plans on disinheriting her own daughters who are attached to the Barr name.

Then there is the antagonist, Adalina, who begins the series as a baby, James’ only child, the child that Beatrice wants as her own. As she grows older and as both her father and Beatrice change, she begins to have her own arc as she sees that Beatrice is not who she thought she was. Little by little, she discovers Beatrice’s secrets; and when she finds out that Beatrice is the one responsible for her mother’s death, she realizes that she must find a way to release her father from her spell, save her family from Beatrice's grip, and have revenge.

Yes, this is a series with a supernatural twist. Beatrice can control bees and sometimes the bees behave on their own, but this story is about more than just controlled killer bees. It's a story about family ties, trust, truth, and love.

How far would one go if they could have what they perceive as the perfect life?
