THE FINAL FRONTIER
By Marco WestWood Gonzalez

GENRE: Thriller, Sci-fi
LOGLINE:

A career criminal becomes entangled in an extraterrestrial conspiracy while searching for his abducted friend, all while being hunted by a vengeful thug.

SYNOPSIS:

Curtis searches for his missing best friend, Charlie, after he fails to show up as the getaway driver for a bank heist. The heist of course goes wrong after Bobby Williams III, a paranoid thug, shoots and kills a security guard. While Bobby and their other crewmate Olmos lay low, Curtis continues his search, trying to find out where Charlie has vanished to.

A week later, Charlie reappears naked, afraid and without memory of the previous week, repeating over and over that "they stole his dreams." This changes the course of Curtis' investigation into the new street drug called "Dreamcatchers," which put people in a dreamlike state and causes them to relive memories. Through this journey to help a traumatized Charlie remember what happened to him, Curtis becomes entangled in a larger, extraterrestrial conspiracy. Meanwhile, Bobby, thinking he's been fingered for the bank job, has gone off the deep end and is hunting Curtis and Charlie down in an attempt to tie up loose ends.

A simple logline, Marco. And I mean that as a positive. However, I would look to lean into the sci-fi a little more within the text as that's not shining through. You only have the vague "mass conspiracy" to hint at it. Also, I would suggest making the stakes more evident.

Phil, thank you. I did consider maybe replacing "mass" with "extraterrestrial". What do you think?
