Haunted by her inaction that led to the death of her brother, a timid Navy linguist assembles a crack-team of fellow disgruntled veterans and uses an anonymous “Kickstarter” to crowd-source global hostage rescue missions.
SYNOPSIS:
PILOT:
When an IED attack on her brother’s convoy kills him and eight other Marines, Navy linguist Allison Bishop struggles with the guilt of not having acted to prevent it. So when she uncovers new information that could save the life of a kidnapped Israeli soldier, she risks everything to relay the classified intelligence to the Israeli government in order prevent history from repeating itself.
Despite her success, the US government quickly tracks her down after the security leak, culminating in a suspenseful hunt through the NSA building and an interrogation. Accepting a dishonorable discharge, but shielded from the full brunt of criminal charges thanks to her hacker friend and a mysterious foreign ally, a newly-emboldened Allison decides this is just the beginning of her pursuit to right the government’s wrongs. A childhood friend of her brother is in trouble across the border, and since her social circle is comprised primarily of other dysfunctional veterans, she doesn’t have to do much convincing to organize a rescue mission.
