About Randolph

Randolph Randy Camp was born on March 12, 1961 in rural Spotsylvania County, Virginia. After graduating with honors from Spotsylvania Senior High School in 1979, Randy joined the US Air Force and traveled the globe. Throughout high school and while in the military, during his off-duty hours, Randy would jot down story ideas and write numerous short stories, which eventually developed into his list of screenplays and novels today. Randy won the Quarter-Finals Prize at The Writers Network 14th Annual Screenplay & Fiction Competition for his stories 'WET MATCHES' and '...THEN THE RAIN'. Although Randy is always working on his next writing project, he became a full-time college student in 2012 at Erie Community College in Buffalo, New York, where he has acquired an Associate of Science Degree in Mental Health Studies and Substance Abuse Counseling in May 2015. Randy is also a Youth Advocate and Mentor, and he has a passion for working with at-risk and troubled teenagers. Randy has written several books, including COREVILLE PARK a reggae novel, MONICA, A SHORT STORY COLLECTION, 'AMERICA: NO PURCHASE NECESSARY' , "29 DIMES", "FALSE DANDELIONS", "WET MATCHES", and "...THEN THE RAIN". All of Randy's novels are available in paperback and eBook format. Currently, Randy resides in Des Moines, Iowa. Randy has five daughters Christina, Melinda, Randie, Ranielle, Natasha and one son Joshua. Two of Randy's favorite quotes are "Don't let others define you - You define yourself!" and "Don't be afraid to dream BIG!"
