Always writing on the side, I graduated from the University of Michigan Law School and I'm licensed to practice in the state of California.
Right after law school, I developed the rare autoimmune disease, Alopecia Universalis, out of which came my award-winning best seller, Answering the Call, where I shared how I overcame losing all of my hair within six months of my upcoming wedding day. I'm now devoted to achieving success while minimizing stress.
I am also in a select group of attorneys to graduate from the prestigious Trial Advocacy Project and I have actual trial experience as a prosecutor at the Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office.
Besides this, I'm a wife, mom, and former marathon runner-now avid TV watcher. My favorite TV dramas include but are not limited to (I'm a recovering attorney, please forgive me) Mad Men, Breaking Bad, Homeland, The Affair, True Blood, Orange is the New Black, and Nashville.
But my favorite thing to do is write and I'm able to draw from my diverse experiences to write genuine characters in unusual circumstances creating engaging stories. I love to write dramas that give you a glimpse of a different perspective, cause you to connect to the character despite it, and challenges you to grow. Basically, I love to write dramas that kick ass - but make you think!
I've focused on my screenwriting craft for the past 10 years and would love to offer my writing services. However, they would have to be paid gigs as I'm currently collaborating on a project with my sister, writer and actress, Diana Savone, and I can't afford to take my focus off of that otherwise. My present writing goals involve finishing my TV writing portfolio, obtaining a literary agent and getting staffed on a TV drama in 2016.
Unique traits: Actual criminal trial experience, studied at University of Michigan's Film and Video Department while simulatenously attending law school there, published best-selling author, world traveller, enjoys both the business and creative side of things, loves to collaborate
