Director and Producer/Videographer The Lyre of Mesopotamia, an ancient instrument which used to be played by the people in Baqdad, returns after 2700 years. Offered by UN-Habitant and IAARA, Seifollah Shokri (Instrument builder/musician) reconstructed this instrument in 2009 in an old water reservoir in Qazvin/Iran which has currently been converted to an instrument building workshop. This video art takes you deep underground to the water reservoir and through the reconstruction process of this ancient instrument.
